Who We Are

Founded in Syria · 2010

Fouadi is a registered non-profit organization founded in 2010 that focuses on philanthropic work in education, health, economic empowerment, child and family social services, and housing & reconstruction. Its mission is rooted in community development and restoring livelihoods for vulnerable populations.

Our work is grounded in collaboration with national and international partners, including UNICEF, UNDP, WHO, and OCHA / Syria Humanitarian Fund.

As a Syrian charity dedicated to development, we are able to identify local needs, share internationally recognized best practices, develop solutions, and build on past experience to enhance and expand partnerships with institutions that share our goals in alleviating poverty.

Fouadi’s mission is to deliver sustainable, inclusive humanitarian and development services in education, protection, health, livelihoods, and housing, to empower disadvantaged individuals and communities.

We advocate for the dignity of every person and help people build better, more hopeful lives.

Promote charitable action and assist vulnerable and low-income groups through projects and activities supporting health, nutrition, education, and vocational and technical training.
Support the economic empowerment of communities, contribute to poverty reduction and create employment through financing small and micro-enterprises, development programmes, early-recovery projects and livelihood restoration.
Strengthen social responsibility and implement programmes and projects concerning the protection of families, children and communities.
Develop local communities and urban neighbourhoods through establishing, financing and implementing housing and reconstruction programmes and projects.

Our Journey

A legacy of community service, dignity, and sustainable development since 2010

2010–2013

Community Development & Microfinance

Fouadi began with locally rooted economic empowerment in rural Aleppo.

  • Rural savings and lending funds in Al-Safira communities.
  • Support to agricultural and non-agricultural micro-enterprises.
  • Revival and promotion of traditional handicrafts, including women-led production.
2014–2018

Humanitarian Response & Essential Services

As needs changed, Fouadi expanded into emergency and humanitarian programming.

  • Vaccination support and health-facility rehabilitation.
  • School WASH, water systems and displacement-centre interventions.
  • Self-learning, child-friendly spaces, psychosocial support and youth development.
2019–2023

Integrated Recovery & Livelihoods

Programming evolved toward integrated services, restoration of public facilities and household resilience.

  • Multi-service platforms combining protection, education and WASH.
  • Successive school-rehabilitation programmes.
  • Poultry livelihoods, savings groups, disability-inclusive livelihoods and agricultural support.
  • Post-earthquake education recovery.
2024–2026

Scaled Multi-Sector Programming

Fouadi expanded the scale, geography and sophistication of its programmes.

  • Large-scale child protection and integrated education programming.
  • Emergency and regular cash assistance in Aleppo and Idlib.
  • Vocational training, Farmer Field Schools and community action planning.
  • Multi-sector emergency-response capacity across northern Syria.
